Are you looking to temporarily pause your StudioHub automation for specific times of the year?

In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to pause your automation during holidays, vacations or any other time when you would like people to not receive automated messages.

Let's dive in:

  1. In Studiohub, navigate to the left-hand side of the screen and click on Settings (located at the bottom of the menu).

  2.  In the Settings menu, look for the Automation tab and click on it.

  3. This will bring you to the Global Workflow Settings page. Locate the Pause Workflow section.

  4. Click on the date selector as shown in the image below.

  5. Select the Start Date and End Date, then click on End Time.

For example, select November 28th as the Start Date and December 2nd as the End Date and then click on End time.

  6. Enter the time that you want the automations to resume and then click on OK

⚠️ The End Time must follow the following format HH:MM:SS e.g. 08:00:00

    Example:
    • Start Date & Time: November 28th, 00:00 AM
    • End Date & Time: December 2nd, 08:00 AM

The pause will start at 00:00 AM (midnight) on November 28th, and it will end at 08:00 AM on December 2nd. This means the pause lasts all day on November 28th until December 1st and it ends at 08:00 on  December 2nd.

⚠ Important: By default the End Time will be set to midnight (00:00 AM). To avoid texts being sent at midnight, we recommend setting the End Time to 08:00 AM.

  7. Once you've selected your end date and time you can click on Confirm.

  8.  After choosing the dates, click on the Select Workflows tab next to it.

  9. For simplicity, it’s recommended to select All Published Workflows, ensuring all automations are paused during the specified period.

  10. (OPTIONAL) If you want these settings to apply automatically for future years, check the box labeled Annually and click Save.

Optional: To pause workflows for multiple holidays proceed to the next step.

  11. To pause workflows for multiple holidays, click Add Date above the “Save” button.

    • Example: Set workflows to pause from December 25 to January 1 for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

    •  Once again, select All Published Workflows, tick the “Annually” checkbox (optional) and click Save.

Repeat the process for each desired holiday.

Important Notes:

  • You don’t need to take any action to resume workflows. They will automatically return to their active state once the specified dates have passed.

  • You can edit, delete, or add new pause periods anytime from the Global Workflow Settings page.
