Hello hello, welcome back.
In the last video, I covered the automation theory of triggers and action steps.
To recap, triggers cause the automation to start, and then what happens next are the action steps.
In this video, let's go over some of the triggers that you can use in StudioHub.
These are the things that can cause the automation to fire. Let's dive in.
Form submission - This trigger works in combination with a StudioHub form. For example, whenever someone submits your StudioHub form, you can use this trigger to activate the automation. Think of the inquiry form on your website. Whenever someone submits that form, it kicks off one of the automations inside your StudioHub account.
Appointment booked - This trigger works in combination with a StudioHub calendar. For example, if you schedule a contact in a StudioHub calendar, you can use this trigger to start the automation. Think of scheduling someone for a free trial class in a StudioHub calendar, and having automation sending that person reminders. This is the trigger you would need to use to start that automation.
Facebook lead form submitted - This trigger works in combination with a Facebook lead form. By using this trigger you can start an automation that fires whenever someone submits your Facebook form.
Customer replied - This trigger let's you do some really cool automations. You can use this trigger to start an automation anytime someone messages you from a particular channel. For example, you can start an automation if someone sends you an Instagram direct message (DM). This trigger also allows you to start an automation when a contact messages you a specific keyword. For example, if you want an automation that fires when a contact messages you or texts you the word "PROMOSPRING". You can also combine them. For example, you can start the automation if the person messages you "PROMOSPRING" but ONLY if it's coming from Facebook.
Contact tag - This trigger let's you start an automation whenever you add or remove a particular tag from a contact. For example, let's say you created a tag called "Spring Promo", and you want anyone who gets tagged with "Spring Promo" to get added to an automation that sends a few emails about your spring promotions. This is the trigger you would use.
I'm not going to cover all what all the triggers do, and what they could be used for. That would make this video long and super boring. Besides, I would not be able to think of every possible thing that you can do with the triggers. That's the point of this training, to help demystify the automation builder, so that you can generate your own ideas for how to use it.
Something else I want to point out is that you can also create automations without a trigger, and add people to the automation manually. We can talk more about that later.
Now, let's go over the action steps.
However, so that I don't make this video too long, I'm going to talk about them in the next video!
See you there!
