INTRODUCTION

Hello hello!

Welcome back!

In this video, we're going to talk about pipeline automations.

There are a couple of ways to use automations when it comes to pipelines and opportunities.

Let me show you.

ADDING AND UPDATING CONTACTS IN A PIPELINE AUTOMATICALLY

Inside our automation builder, there is an action step that work with pipelines and opportunities.

The first action step is called "Create / Update opportunity".

{Show example}

The feature works to ADD or UPDATE contacts in a pipeline automatically.

For example, you might want to add a contact to the "new lead" stage in a pipeline if they fill out your new inquiry form.

Or, you might want to move a contact from the "new lead" to the "appointment booked" stage automatically, if they scheduled a free trial class in your StudioHub calendar.

By using these automations, you can track contacts through a pipeline journey without having to do any effort!

Now, let me show you another way to use automations with pipelines and opportunities.

TRIGGERING AN AUTOMATION

I want you to think for a second about CAUSE and EFFECT.

In the previous example, something caused the automation to start, like filling out a form, or booking an appointment. Then, one of the effects of the automation was that the contact was added or moved in the pipeline.

Now, let's reverse it.

Let me show you how moving a contact to a certain pipeline stage, or changing the status of an opportunity can CAUSE the automation to start.

For example, imagine you have a pipeline stage called "showed" for people who show up for a free trial - You can create an automation that sends the contact a text message when you move them to that pipeline stage, or sends your teacher a notification when the student moves to a certain pipeline stage.

Another example can be whenever you mark a contact with the status "won" or "lost".

For example, you might want to ask people who you mark as "won" for a Google review.

CONCLUSION

That's it! Those are all ideas for how you can use automations with pipelines and opportunities.

The possibilities of what you can automate in StudioHub are endless. To help you learn more about how to build all of these automations we've created an automation training.

I want to invite you to check it out.

I'll add the link below this video, to the bottom of the screen.

I hope this training has been helpful, see you soon!
