Hello and welcome to the Custom Fields training!
To begin, let me explain what custom fields are.
StudioHub allows you to store information about each contact.
To do this, StudioHub provides you with "standard fields" of information that you can fill out for each contact.
For example, name, phone, email, address.
They are called "standard" fields because they already come in pre-loaded into your StudioHub account, meaning that they are standard.
{{Show a form that has standard fields in it}}
However, depending on what kind of business you run, and how you use StudioHub, you might want to collect additional information. For example:
- Student name (for kids)
- Student age (for kids)
- Shoe size
- T-shirt size
- Favorite ice cream flavor
- Do you prefer morning classes or evening classes?
- What are your goals?
In order to collect this information in StudioHub, you need to use a feature called "custom fields"
{{Show a form that is collecting custom fields}}
You see how the form I just showed you was collecting unique information... That's what custom fields are used for.
{{Show standard vs custom fields in the form builder}
Now, let me show you how to create them.
See you in the next video!!
