Whenever you upload a video to the media section in StudioHub, you will be required to upload a thumbnail. A thumbnail is a cover for your video, and is shown to clients before the video is played.
In this article we will outline the steps on how you can take a screenshot of your video that you can use as a thumbnail.

For Windows
Select and open the video you want to create a thumbnail for.
Scroll through the video to the part you want to capture as a screenshot.
- Then, press on the Windows key and search for Snipping Tool.
- Make sure the camera icon is selected, and click + New.
- Click and drag to select the area of the screenshot, and release once you've selected the area.
- The screenshot will automatically pop up, click on the Save icon.
- Name your file
. Once you have the screenshot, you can proceed with uploading your video + thumbnail to the media folder in StudioHub. You can navigate back to the article: How to upload a video or How to use the ads launcher
For Mac
Find the video you want to capture a screenshot from and double-click to open it.
Scroll through the video to the part you want to capture as a screenshot. Pause the video when you reach that section.
To open the cropping tool, press the following keys on your keyboard at the same time:
Command + Shift + 4.After pressing the shortcut keys, your cursor will change to a crosshair ⌖. Click and drag to select the area of the screen you want to capture.
Once you've selected the desired area, release the mouse button. The screenshot will be automatically saved to your desktop.
