Introduction
Hey! This is Diego from the Tech team at StudioHub.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to complete your A2P verification process.
As a reminder, the A2P registration process is a mandatory background check performed by phone carriers in the US to prevent spammers from buying phone numbers. Before you can use StudioHub's phone number, you will need to complete the A2P verification process.
Now, before we start, the method we'll follow in THIS video is ONLY for businesses that have an EIN (EIN stands for employee identification number). If your business does NOT have an EIN, please make sure to go back and watch the "Does your business have an EIN?" video.
If your business has an EIN, please have it ready, because we're going to use it in this tutorial to register your A2P.
With that said, let's begin!
A2P registration
Accessing Trust Center
- Let's start by logging in to StudioHub
- Then, at the left side menu click on Settings
- Once we're inside Settings, click on Phone Numbers on the left menu
- Now, click on Trust Center on the right of the Phone System menu.
Registering the A2P
Okay, so this is where we are going to submit our registration. Please click on Start Registering Now.
Before we begin, let me explain what is about to happen. Your A2P registration consists of 3 parts. For the first and second steps, you are going to fill out a form with information about you and your business. For the third step, I will give you some information that you will have to copy, paste, and tweak into the form.
Business Details
Alright, so let's go ahead and start registering. Please, follow the steps on my screen, and feel free to pause the video if you need to.
- The first step we have to go through is called Business details.
- Let's start off with Profile Needs inside Business details. Read both questions, and make sure to select Yes on the first question, and Yes on the second question.
- Now let's move on to Business Details. You'll have to fill out your business information.
- This part is very important!Make sure this information matches the details you used to register your EIN. So let's do it:
- Type in your Legal Business Name
- In Business Type, choose Limited Liability Company or Sole Proprietorship
- Choose USA: Employer Identification Number (EIN) under Business Registration ID Type
- Type in your Business registration number (this is your EIN)
- Next, choose your Business Industry (we recommend Education)
- Type your email address under the Business email
- Type your website URL
- open up the website and copy straight from the search bar
- Choose USA and Canada under Business Region of Operations.
- Alright, we can click Continue and now we need to fill out the fields inside Business Address.
- Make sure your address matches the address you used to register your EIN.
- Choose United States in the "Country" form field
- Type the State you're located in.
- Type your Street Address, City, and Zip Code.
- Make sure your address matches the address you used to register your EIN.
- Cool, now click Continue, and let's move on to Contact Info.
- Here you need to type an authorized representative of your business. Most of our clients fill out their own name and last name here. Let's fill it out.
- Type in your first name, and last name.
- Then, please use a personal email address (so it is usually something that ends with @gmail.com or @outlook.com). This is to avoid any issues with the registration.
- Type your personal phone number and click on the dropdown to select your position. Then click on Continue.
Brand Details
Great, we've completed the first step. Now let's move on to the second step, which is Brand Details.
- Here in the Brand Details screen, please make sure to select Low Volume Standard. I'm going to repeat myself here, so let's select Low Volume Standard.
- Alright, then please read and check the box acknowledging the cost information and click Continue.
Campaign Details
Awesome, we're on the third and final step now which is Campaign Details. This is where I'll be providing you with some templates that you are going to copy and paste. You'll also have to tweak the templates slightly, but don't worry, I'll show you how.
Make sure to pay close attention to this part because it can fail if something is misspelled or if something is missing. And again, feel free to pause the video if you need to.
Cool, so the templates can be found in the document linked to this video (this document here). Click on the link and make sure to have it open so that you can easily switch between tabs to paste the templates.
Okay, let's go. We'll be starting off in the Messaging Use Case section
- So firstly, make sure the Low Volume Mixed (recommended) is selected.
- Now, let's fill out the Use Case Description
- You can simply copy and paste the template here just like I'm doing it right now.
- Moving on with Sample Message #1.
- Copy and paste the template.
- Now, make sure to change the 'name" and "business name" values in curly brackets here. This is very important. Otherwise, the registration will fail.
- Also, make sure your name and business name match the details we filled out during the first steps of the registation.
- So as an example, I typed Diego in the first steps so I must write Diego here as well. And as a business name, I typed Dancing with Diego so I must write it here as well.

- Same thing with Sample Message #2, you can copy and paste the template. Again, please make sure to CHANGE the values in curly brackets just like I'm doing it here.
- Check the first two boxes called "The message will include an embedded link" and "The message will include phone numbers". Then we can click on Continue.
- Now we move onto the User Consent section. Copy and paste the template for How do leads/contacts consent to receive messages?
- After pasting the template, make sure to delete the website link in the template, and replace it with YOUR website just as I'm doing here. If we don't change it, the registration will fail.
- So let's open up a new tab, look for the website, copy it from the search bar and paste it here.

- Finally, we will move to the Opt-In Message. Copy and paste the template, and then change the name and business name as well. Once we're done with this we can go ahead and click on Submit.
Conclusion
Awesome! We just submitted your A2P registration. Please note that it can take up to 7 days for the verification to process and approve. You'll be notified inside StudioHub once it's approved.
