Introduction
Hey, how’s it going? This is Diego from the Tech Team at StudioHub.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to avoid getting your Facebook account hacked. We've had clients in the past who've gotten their Facebook account hacked and they've lost access to their personal Facebook page, their Facebook business page, and they lost the ability to advertise on Facebook. So, I want to show you here a couple of steps that you can take to protect yourself.

The first thing you should know is that one of the main ways people get hacked is when they click on links they receive from messages or emails on Meta, which is the company that owns Facebook.
What I want to show you first is what a legitimate message from Meta looks like. Then, I'm going to show you messages that are fake so you can see what's real and what's not, and help you identify the fake messages so that you don't get hacked. So let's dive right in.
Here's a picture of what it looks like (shows picture), notice how it contains the blue verified icon. This is the ONLY verified channel.

Now, I'm going to show you fake messages hackers send pretending to be Meta so that you know how to spot the fake messages.
So, let's dive right in!

The last tip I want to share with you is to ALWAYS check who the email is from. Usually, you're able to spot if an email is legitimate by checking who sent you the email. Typically, hackers send their spam emails from bogus emails. You want to be careful you don't click on any links from emails sent from hackers.
Let me show you here some examples (show examples of bogus emails and explain).

If you're unsure if it's Meta or Facebook writing you, you can always forward those emails to us to support@getmorestudents.com and we'll help you identify whether it's real or not.
In conclusion, make sure that you do not click not anything. Do not click on any links on Facebook Messenger, do not click on any links from your emails, and do not click on any links on posts.
Also, if you have team members helping you, make sure to tell them that if they're seeing these messages to not click on those links. You might want to show them this video to explain what to look out for and how to spot fake messages/emails.

Stay safe!
