Introduction
In this guide, you'll learn about different options for creating event reminders in StudioHub. Choose the one that suits your needs best.
Options
Option 1 - Schedule a text message for the future.
Scenarios when this would be useful:
- You have around 10 people that you would like to schedule reminders for
- You only want to send ONE reminder (e.g., one day before).
- Handy for sending payment reminders to a few people.
This option would be great for small events with around 10 people attending.
Another example is if you want to remind a FEW people to pay by a certain date.
Follow up
Option 2 - Creating a reminder workflow for ONE specific date
Scenarios when this would be useful:
- You have many people to remind.
- You want the ability to add these people to reminders in bulk.
- You need to send multiple reminders for the event (e.g., 2 days before, 1 day before, 1 hour before).
- The event has only one date (e.g., June 20th).
- Ideal for bigger events with numerous attendees, like open houses, sales deadlines, or recitals.
This option would be great for bigger events where you want lots of people to get reminders before a certain date/event.
You can create multiple workflows for different dates if your event has several dates (e.g., Show "A" on June 20th, Show "B" on June 21st).
Option 3 - Creating ONE reminder workflow that you can use for MANY DIFFERENT dates
Scenarios when this would be useful:
- The event spans MULTIPLE dates (e.g., Show "A" on April 20th, Show "B" on April 21st).
- You have many people to send reminders to.
- Adding people to reminders in bulk is not a priority.
- You need to send multiple reminders for the event (e.g., 2 days before, 1 day before, 1 hour before).
This option would be great for bigger events where you want lots of people to get reminders before a certain date, but you are going to be adding everyone manually to the reminders one by one.
For example:
- You have THE SAME show with multiple dates (e.g, Recital "A", "B", "C", "D")
