Introduction

Congratulations on getting your contact list all cleaned up and ready for action. Now, the next crucial step is to upload this refined list into StudioHub. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process, step by step, to ensure your list is successfully imported into StudioHub, and ready for your text blast campaign.

Steps

Step 1: Download your list as a CSV file
  • Before you can upload your list into StudioHub, you need to download it in the appropriate format. Head over to your spreadsheet program, whether it's Google Sheets or Excel, and select "File".

  • Then, choose "Download" and save your list as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file.

Step 2: Name the List
  • Give your list a clear and informative name. For instance, if it's a list of leads, you can name it something like "List of Leads 3/21/22". This naming convention helps you easily identify the list and its purpose.

Step 3: Upload it into StudioHub
  • Now, log in to your StudioHub account. Navigate to the 'Contacts' section.

  • Here, you'll find an option to 'Import Contacts'. Click on this, and a pop-up window will appear.

  • After clicking on the "Import Contacts" button a pop-up window will appear where you can upload or drop in your contact list CSV file.

  • Click Next

Step 4: Match the Fields
  • In this step, you'll need to ensure that the fields in your imported list match those in StudioHub. For example, if your list has a column named "Parent First Name", ensure it matches the "First Name" field in StudioHub.

  • Continue this matching process for other fields such as "Last Name," "Phone," and "Email".

  • Once you matched all the fields, click Next

Step 5: Name the Import
  • Give a name to this import process. Typically, you can use a name related to the list you're uploading. For example, "List of Leads 3/21/22"

Step 6: Click the "Advanced" Link
  • Once you are done renaming the imported file, click on the "Advanced" option below it

  • Under the 'Advanced' settings, make sure to change "Email" to "Phone". This step is crucial, as it helps match the contacts you already have in StudioHub with those you're importing based on phone numbers.

  • Additionally, uncheck the box that says "Don't update empty values for existing records".

Step 7: Tags
  • You can further categorize the contacts you're importing by using tags. For instance, if this list consists of current students then you can tag them as "CS 3/18/22" or if this list is for past students then "PS 3/18/22". This makes it easier to identify and filter contacts for your campaign.
  • To add tags simply click on the "tags" field, and enter the name of the tag you wish to create or associate with this list of contacts. Click the Add tag option once you've entered the name

  • This is how it should look like

  • Once you are done, click "Submit"

Step 8: Verify
  • Once you've successfully added the list go to "Contacts"

  • Click on "More Filters"

  • Search or locate the "Tag" option

  • Click on the "Select Tag" option. Scroll down and find the recently created tag in Step 7 and click on it

  • Click "Apply" for the filter to take effect

  • You can now see all the contacts that we uploaded and categorized under the "Leads 3/21/22" tag displayed

Conclusion

You've successfully uploaded your cleaned and organized contact list into StudioHub. Now, your contacts are ready for action, and you can easily filter and target them for your upcoming text blast campaign. Keep following these steps, and you'll be well-prepared for the next stages of your marketing efforts.
